Heavily Armed Suspect fire over 1,100 round and everything in
sight!

LAPD
Patrol Unit riddled with AK-47 gunfire!
Now you can hear the
Actual
LAPD radio communications from this historic
event!
One of the longest and scariest shootout in modern day law enforcement history
took place on February 28, 1997 outside of the Bank of America on Laurel
Canyon Blvd. in North Hollywood. A foiled a bank robbery forced two
suspects covered in body armor and armed with assault weapons and
thousands of rounds of ammo into an explosive gun battle that changed law enforcement
tactics forever.
The suspects
fired over 1,100 rounds at everything in sight including police,
civilians, and even news media helicopters. Yes, this was all televised
live on several Los Angeles area news networks. When it was all over, the two suspects lay
dead, nine police officers and five bystanders lay wounded. A day no one will ever forget!
