• StarrSoft Win96 - Win96 is a software program for the Radio Shack PRO-96 Digital Trunking Scanner. It allows you to read data from the scanner, make changes via the GUI, and write the modified data back. Win96 can also manage the PRO-96's "Virtual Scanner Folders". You can maintain a "library" of data files to be downloaded or shared. Alternatively, you can import and export comma-delimited (CSV) text files.

Radio Shacks new Pro-96 digital trunking scanner is scheduled for distribution in November 2003. The Pro-96 scanner will track and decode Project 25 Phase-1 compliant digital systems including ASTRO IMBE and P25 modulation types at 3600 baud and 9600 baud. Though it will not decode VSELP systems. List price is set at $499.00 and there is no additional decoder card needed for the scanners. 

                             Here are some key features:

• Frequency coverage includes: 28-54, 108-136, 137-174, 406-512, 806-960MHz (except cellular), and 1240-1300 MHz.
• Will track and decode Project 25 Phase 1 compliant digital systems including ASTRO IMBE and P25 modulation types at 3600 baud and 9600 baud. 
• Will follow analog Motorola I, II, I/II and GE/Ericsson (EDACS) trunked radio systems.
• Will come pre-programmed for major metro areas - ready to go!
• Will have a a "Sweep Search" function that will quickly lock onto on-site transmitters.
• Will picks up local marine, police/fire, Ham, VHF-air, racing, weather and more!
• Able to store frequencies in 5,000 memory channels.
• Able to store up to 15,000 ID codes.
• Will run on four "AA" batteries.
